Want to try out whitewater kayaking but not sure yet if it’s right for you? This sampler program will let you hop in a boat and try out this exciting sport. In a small group of 3, you’ll work with an instructor to learn about the equipment, using kayak skirts, and basic paddle technique. After this course check out our Intro to Whitewater Kayaking course outside and really jump in with two feet.

Times: 5:30-7:30pm on Wednesdays

Location: Clear Creek Recreation Center in Idaho Springs, CO

Cost: $150 per person

The lesson includes a boat, neoprene skirt, paddle, and a life jacket if you’d like one. You should bring a swimsuit, towel, and you’ll appreciate a non-cotton shirt to wear in the water. Be sure to bring dry clothes to change into afterwards.

There is a locker room you can use to change clothes and feel free to bring a lock to use a locker.
