Who We Are:

At Whitewater Workshop, we offer individualized instruction at the highest level to people who are looking for the next adventure. Our instructors are incredibly passionate about paddling, are safety minded, are effective educators, and are knowledgeable about technical aspects of whitewater boating as well as the the area we teach in. Most of our instructors just teach a couple classes per year around another job but their passion about paddling goes year-round with lots of private boating days.

What We're looking for:

At Whitewater Workshop, we are looking for seasoned individuals who have a deep love for kayaking and enjoy sharing their passion with others. Our ideal candidates are mature, experienced instructors who are looking to teach part-time to share their love for the sport.

Years of Experience: We seek instructors who have spent years honing their kayaking skills and have a deep understanding of the intricacies of the sport.

Expertise in Instruction: As experienced instructors, you have developed effective teaching methods to guide and support diverse learners. Your patient approach and ability to adapt to different skill levels will ensure an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all.

Strong Communication Skills: Clear communication is crucial in guiding and instructing clients. Your ability to effectively convey instructions, safety protocols, and paddling techniques will be instrumental in creating a safe and enjoyable environment.

Safety-conscious: Being an experienced kayaker, you understand the importance of safety on the water. Your vigilance and attention to detail will ensure that our clients can fully immerse themselves in the joys of kayaking, knowing they are in capable hands.

Passion for the Sport: Above all, we are looking for instructors who possess an unwavering passion for kayaking. Your love for the sport will inspire others, and your enthusiasm will create an unforgettable experience for clients.

Pay:

$18-$40/hour depending on experience and certifications.

We want our instructors to be trained at the highest level so in addition to in-house training, we will help with the cost of some paddling and first aid certifications including Swiftwater Rescue, Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder.
